New resort in Myrtle Beach under construction.

I got a newsletter in my email today. It included info on this new HGVC resort.

"The newest oceanfront resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, since 2008, Ocean 22, is under construction and is projected to open in the summer of 2015. At 240 feet and 24 floors, the resort will be the city’s tallest and its second Hilton Grand Vacations Club property.
The resort, slated to have 220 one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury condo-style units, also will include an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, pool and lobby bars, a fitness center, kids space, and a grab-and-go deli. Access to the beach will be direct from the private pool deck.
The resort will be at 2200 North Ocean Boulevard, in central Myrtle Beach, close to the current Club resort, Hilton Grand Vacations Club at Anderson Ocean Club.

Going to Anderson next week for spring break. I'm sure I'll hear more about this if (and when) we do our Owner's Update. A preview of this resort is the only reason I might be tempted to attend an otherwise excruciating update.

Great news for MB.

Maybe more rooms in MB for open season like Orlando and Vegas. I am only three hours away so I would like the shot for weekends during late gold/platinum time periods. Anderson fills up fast.

Hilton timeshare project on Ocean Boulevard still on schedule for May 2015 opening

Crews are working on the 15th level of the new 24-story Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare property on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach and construction still is on schedule to be complete by May, according to the building’s contractor.

The Hilton Grand Vacations Club will sit on the stretch of beach between Schooner II Beach and Racquet Club and Boardwalk Hotel on North Ocean Boulevard at 22nd Avenue North. The project is estimated to cost $41.5 million, according to the documents provided to the city.
