RCI points for deposit devalued?

Hiya, I was on the phone with Mayan Palace RCI rep today and he did the points for deposit for me. It was not a Mayan week but I guess my weeks account is thru them so I was told by the regular RCI rep. I thought that was odd actually!?

Anyways when he was done I asked how many points I would get for the week.... What? That is 3000 less than I got last year and the year before!?

Has anyone else noticed this? Could it be true? Or was it just an error on the reps part from what he was reading !?

Can RCI do this??

As an FYI it was a 2015 week for which I was doing the points for deposit. Week 9.
I actually asked the first RCI rep on April 2nd 2014 to do the weeks deposit and the points for deposit. The deposit went thru but not the points for deposit of the week. So i called again today....got the Mayan rep...

I'll post how this winds up, I sent them an email...

Ps I typed this on my Ipad so I apologize for weird typos...

Points for deposit weeks can change but unless the grid was just updated (the grid that they don't really publish anymore) then it shouldn't change from week to week. It should also be the same number of points that it takes to exchange into that week using RCI points.

If your resort 'award level' was downgraded (etc from gold crown to silver) that would change the number of points for PFD.

All is good! I get my full point value, guess it was a mix up by the guy on the phone...
