Hilton owners - Do you ever get RCI match notification?

When I started some RCI searches over a year ago, I thought I could just enter them and then get an email telling me if I had a match. Since there have been 3 times that I've logged into my account and seen something on hold and never would have known if I didn't log in, I guess I need to check every day.

I'm wondering if anyone using the portal ever gets a notification that they have a match for a search or if it is just me. I'm wondering how many times that I had a match and it was released because I wasn't logging in every day to look. I've gone weeks without logging in. It's kind of a bummer, but at least I know that I have to check my RCI every day now.

Maybe call the HGVC number and ask them to transfer you to the RCI desk and they may discover the problem.

After you log-in to the RCI portal, under Account, does it display your phone number and e-mail address? Mine does.

Last time I requested/made an II trade, it asked me how I wanted to be notified. I don't remember if I was asked that the last time I made a RCI exchange request.

Monday, you may have to contact HGVC in Miami to help you. When I logged into the HGVC RCI Portal, I didn't see any way to make changes to your/mine Account, like I can with my non-HGVC RCI account.

I do with a regular RCI Points Account, never tried the HGVC RCI Portal, yet.

Yes, both phone number and email show up. I think we just don't get notified using the portal. If I put anything on hold and then release it, I get emails about it. Ongoing searches - nothing. Since we also don't have online access to the regular rentals and we don't get discounted point stays on last minute, I think the portal just isn't RCI's best.

Good to know. I haven't placed an ongoing search via HGVC portal yet and this lack of email notification is horrible. That's one of the benefits of ongoing search is that you're not having to check daily!

I have only done one OGS, but I was called on my cell phone and an email was sent when a match was made. It worked for me.

Yes, I have received the email notification when a match was met for a reservation made via the HGVC portal. Furthermore, I also received monthly updates via email indicating that my request was still valid but had yet to be matched. These monthly emails ceased, of course, once the match was found.

I don't recall getting any e-mail notifications of matches but I do know that I received phone calls about the matches that were made to Maui, San Francisco, and Key West over the last 8 years.

FWIW, my email match occurred mid-late this past Feb for a match in Jan 2015. I placed the search in early Dec 2013. In late Dec and late Jan I received the monthly email indicating the search was still in progress. I received no phone calls whatsoever.

I get the monthly updates also from RCI.

Trying to remember, after you place the OGS with RCI, don't they ask you to confirm how you wish to be contacted when a confirmed request has been made?

I get match notifications all the time as well as monthly updates. But I always have ongoing request on request that have been in the system for a long time. I've notice that if I put in a request for a highly desired area for a peak time at less then a year out I won't get any matches.

I've been trying for San Francisco and Maui in July for ever. I have gotten a couple of hits for Maui but they're at places I won't stay. I'm still waiting for San Francisco.

I just got an email today when my OGS hit. I am psyched for AKV. I was a little nervous it would still work after all the upgrades but now I can't wait to get to Disney.

Congrats! I had forgotten to update my OGS dates and recently had to let go a two bedroom in September at Saratoga Springs. Had to push vacation back to January 2015 (oh darn, I guess I'll hafta spend my 40th birthday in WDW) in order to complete some home improvements and stay in budget.
