I'm looking to purchase a Woodstone Massanutten timeshare. Was wondering if anyone can tell me what the trading power of these resorts are in RCI on a floating week. I've read in other threads that the massanutten area is one of largest depositor to rci weeks.

Thx

An RCI employee who used to regularly post on these boards, Bootleg, would constantly tell us that the main overbuilt areas where inventory was always availible were Orlando, Branson, Massanutten, and Williamsburg. Massanutten would seem to be on the wrong side of the supply / demand curve to have good trading power. It is a nice resort, but just too much supply. The last time I was there it was ski season, and I did an RCI rental for a good bit less than the m/f.

If you buy to use or for PFD into RCI Points, a 4BD lock-off is still worth it for the price it is selling in eBay (around $2,000 with closing for 4BD Peak Season), IMHO. I was watching Summit resales in eBay and wanted to buy one but the chief of staff would let me buy only if I get rid of our VV @ Parkway. For trading, as others posted, this resort is over built and would not have good trading power. You can rent a non school holiday season week for less than the MF from RCI Extra Vacations.
