Renting at MFC

We are renting for a week(Aug 8-14) in the timeshare condos and want to extend 4 days. I know we can stay at the Frenchman's hotel, but want to add 4 nights Aug 15,16,17, 18 to our stay in the condos. So I guess we are wondering if we might buy points that would allow us to rent for 4 days in the condo's. Is it even possible to confirm this late and are the timeshare condo's only avail by the week?

Technically I think it is possible but I would take the route of having a points owner check for and make the reservation prior to renting or you may have rented points you have to try and use for something you didn't plan for.

Have you tried Marriott Hotel web site?

Just checked. There is availability on Marriott at $545 per night. Wow!

Just looked on Marriott.com and it looks like no availability at Frenchman's Cove for four nights checking in on the 15th. I can't check DC points availability, but it is pretty late in the game.

I am also confused. You indicate you want to stay for four more nights, but then only list three dates. Is it the nights of the 14, 15, 16 and 17 that you are wanting to stay in St Thomas?

Just checked availability using DC points. Not availability on the 14th, 15th or 16th. Though there is availability for the nights of the 17th and 18th

There does appear to be DC availability at the Ritz Carlton Club St. Thomas if you wanted to add that to your options.

This time is is actually unusual. I don't usually have any DC points to check availability with. I am usually begging other people to check for me. I just happen to be transferring some points in today and had some to check with.
