At WKORV, if a 1 bedroom has a Sunday check-in and lockoff a Saturday check-in, what are the chances, upon request, of getting the two together for the overlapping 6 nights? (does this change if both units are used for all 7 nights. or if the lockoff is just used for the 6 overlapping nights and 1 bedroom for 7 nights)

Also, does the lock-off have in-room internet access?

All units have Internet access. They also have the ability to change checkin day but I'm not sure how often they do so. Checking in on different days increases the likelihood you would not have connecting units.

Really? Has this ever been done? If so, how could one do that?

Im confused. When you reserve a lockoff
aren't the ck in dates the same?

I assume the OP made two separate reservations - 1 for a 1 bdm. and 1 for a studio and would like them to be adjacent.

Yes. I have no idea how to accomplish this in advance tho. It happens on site when needed.

I believe that both sides of a 2 bedroom (with lock off) have the same check-in day. That was what I was told when I talked to the front desk manager last year. It would be almost impossible for them to manage inventory if they allowed them to have different check-in days as then they could never be able to rent them as a 2BR.

If you split your week in a 2BR into two weeks, they do not have to be adjacent weeks. You can take one week in January, and the other in July, if you want. Given that, you can reserve a 1BR for a Sunday check-in, and a Studio for the following Saturday check-in. Not sure why anyone would want to do that (overlap one day), but it can be done. However, you are pretty much guaranteed that the 1BR and Studio will not be the same 2BR unit, since they have different check-in days.

FWIW, I've heard many things from the "front desk manager" that just isn't accurate. Like everyone else here, I take what any SVN employee says with extreme skepticism (and hope they're right, since typically they report a positive spin on reality). Asking for special treatment, like the OPs request, is just asking for disappointment, but still worth trying if it's important to you.

As for my own experience, Harborside offered to put a 1-bed Dlx unit on hold for my party so it could be connected to a 2-bed (non-LO; which = their 3Bd unit), with different check-in days. I didn't push for it (since I preferred those staying in the 1-bed to be far, far away from me...lol) so it got lost in the reservation process. And yes, this happened while I was on-site at Harborside (during an earlier trip) and the front desk told me it was possible. SVN would certainly have disputed the possibility on the phone. This type of reservation is possible, but I don't think there's any procedure for making it. Keep in mind that you can have any checkin or checkout day (but not both) using SOs, and paying nightly guests have no restrictions whatsoever. The resorts will always have certain units that simply don't match up to the typical check-in/out days.

Ken is right that they can have different check-in days when units are rented for less than a week. But I believe that they still keep the "normal" weekly check-in day for both sides of a unit on the same day.
