Don and I are going to be grandparents! Our son Stephen and daughter-in-law Denise are expecting a baby in April! What's doubly nice is that Don's temporary stint in India ends March 31st so the timing works for us (not that we ever would expect the kids to work around us.)

The whole family has been asked to please not paper FaceBook, Twitter, etc with this news - they just don't want to be the center of that much attention. But you TUGgers know that I've been hoping and I think it's safe to share here.

YAY! YAY! It's so exciting! :whoopie:

Congratulations to both the parents-to-be and the GRANDPARENTS-to-be.... new roles for you and Don. Remember, the first and second rule of being a Grandparent ... 1) hand them back to their Mom & Dad and 2)ONLY speak 15% of your wisdom to the new parents (who know everything because they "Google" it).

The Truism all new parents must learn ... ask Mom and Dad ... they have experience way beyond the internet and all the baby books ... plus they are cheap babysitters.

Adding congrats and I! too! hope they live close. Ours do not which explains why I fly out in.a few hours to spend 3 days in San Fran for Halloween. Yes I will be toast next week, taking red eye Sun PM and going straight to stock Mon AM but so worth it!

Wonderful. Our oldest was 11 yesterday and now we have seven with the baby just turning 2. There is nothing like having a baby in the family. You have the right to yell from the tallest mountain.

:) So happy to share that Madeline Patricia was born yesterday! It's so hard to believe that our 30-year-old baby is now a daddy - the years fly by so quickly!
