Has anyone rented out a timeshare they booked as a result of a deposit with Interval, using the "guest certificate" and paying the $49 transfer fee?
My husband and I deposited our Marriott week with Interval last year for a trade because we couldn't get into our home resort the week we needed. Our week with Interval was going to expire so we ended up booking a Marriott in Hawaii and now we can't go the week we're booked. I don't want to rebook the week because we don't want to have to then also renew our membership with Interval (it just so happens our membership expires about 2 weeks after the week were supposed to use it).
Some people have mentioned if someone rents from us, they'll have problems with checking in. But I don't see why/how that would happen if we pay the fee to issue the guest certificate and actually have the renters name in the certificate.
Am I wrong to think it should work?
