Ian and I will be joining our son, daughter in law, and our grandbaby (who is expected to arrive July 4th - our first)!

We have booked the HGVC Sea World. Planning to go to Sea World, only. No Disney, no Universal.

I just want to stay and take care of my grandbaby. I don't like animals very much --- especially in an enclosed environment.

I know that Disney is crazy busy Thanksgiving Week.

Will Sea World be crazy busy, also?

We were at Disney two years ago the week of Thanksgiving. You will be fine up until Thanksgiving day, after that it was very crowded. The decorations were up. Make any special reservations as soon as possible.

Sea world has express passes--to reduce or eliminate wait times--they are a bit pricey, but they might be worth it, at least for one of the days (not sure if you're talking about going all week or just once or what). My friend went to WDW on Thanksgiving, and said exactly what the poster above said, so I'd imagine sea world would be similar.

We were at Busch Gardens on Thanksgiving Thursday and Sea World on Black Friday 2012. The crowds were light.

At SW, we had no problem getting into any of the live animal shows. The lineups for the thrill rides were half an hour at most.
