Has anyone stayed here?
I got the feeling the last time I saw it that it was so exposed to the road-
How is this place? It just seems a cut below Cypress Harbour and GV. Is it worth to go ther if I am exchanging? My kids are 11, 9 and 7.
Thanks

Which Horizons? Orlando or Branson?

Actually they are still building new units at both locations.

Horizons Orlando

I just toured the Horizons in Orlando while we were staying at Cypress Harbour. With kids the ages of yours I would highly recommend it. The pool/water park looks awesome! Makes me wish I was a kid again. There is a lot to do there without having to leave the resort and have to go somewhere else and pay admission.

The buildings look more like apartments than a Marriott timeshare resort but the units look very comfortable and nicely equipped. They only have stackable washer and dryer, not the full-size units like Cypress Harbour. Horizons had 2 queen size beds in one bedroom, I forget what was in the other. Big screen TV, too. Probably 45 inches?

Personally, I prefer Cypress Harbour. But if I were under 18 years old I think I would have a lot more fun at Horizons.

Horizons

I own at Horizons and have a 10 and 6 year old. We have gone there twice and most of the time my kids don't even want to go to the parks. I highly recommend it for kids of the age of yours. Oddly enough it has traded well the last two years as I have gone to Grand Timber and Mountain Valley Lodge in Breckenridge, Co the last two years. The price was unbeatable 4 years ago and we will be coming back this Sept. Note - I hear the new lock off building is complete so you may have a choice of the older 2 bedrooms, the newer two bedrooms (nicer) or splitting it and getting the lock-off. Good Luck you will enjoy Horizons.

My sister got an exchange into Horizons Orlando in March. She is staying the first two days at OKW (2 bedroom) on our DVC points. And then moving over to Horizons. I told her to take lots of pictures, as I thought the Orlando Horizons pool area looked as good as the Disney resort pools. Here's an auction I found on Ebay with pictures of the pool area that I had never seen:

From the pictures from this auction, it looks like there are two different pool/water play areas. It looks like heaven for kids.

I read on these boards that there is a new section with lockoffs opening up in mid February.
