I checked into MV Sunday evening. No parking pass tango, no phone calls, no one even mentioned "owner update". The only thing that even hinted at sales is a listing in the activities guide of several "workshops" offered by WIN (Wyndham Information Network). The topics were "Club Pass", "VIP Owners Benefits" and "RCI/RCI Nightly". Needless to say, I did not attend any!
Since it is before peak season, the resort is not at all crowded. Branson itself looks practically deserted. My building (161) is located at the end of the resort farthest from the activities center. There is an outdoor pool directly behind my building but it is just a bit too nippy to plunge in. When I went to the indoor pool there was only a father and small daughter sharing it with me.
One interesting thing at the pools, each pool and hot tub now has a chair lift allowing people with mobility impairment to be lowered directly into the water. I have been to Mountain Vista at least twice before and this is new.
The only activity I've attended was "Dinner with the Stars" which featured a mediocre dinner with a very talented performer for $15.00. This was held at the Meadows (almost) across the street. There are shuttles available on request to take you back and forth between the resorts.
I'm in a 1 bedroom deluxe which is very nice as I'm going solo this visit. It would be quite comfortable for 2 with king bed in the bedroom and a pull out sofa in the LR. But I can't quite imagine 4 adults even if you were VERY friendly. I'm an introvert and I need a space I can retreat by myself.
As I said, this is my 3rd or 4th visit to Mountain Vista (plus several to the Meadows) and I continue to be very happy with the resort.
