How long does it take to get ROFR response from Hilton? I thought I had read they had 10 business days to respond. We are at 12 days presently without a response...is that a bad sign?

Thanks,

Nitram

You may just be a little too anxious. Normally it's about two weeks, but I've seen it take as long as thirty days to get the answer. This part of your closing can seem to drag on forever!

It's good to see you are so excited! Good luck!

I believe they have 30 days in which to respond. We bought resale in late 2009 and it took about half that time. We just bought another unit and the paperwork went to Hilton Aug.2nd. so we're in about the same boat you're in. I'm hoping we'll hear back late next week. Good luck!

Way slow....

I won a eBay auction on May 2nd and didn't pass my Rofr until end of June. I didn't get full access on the website until the beginning of July. Based upon comments here I got my member # via a phone call to Hilton once my closing company got a new contract #.

I was very diligent and bothered everyone and it still took forever!

No, it did not took forever. Early May to Early July web access is superfast! Some of the closings (non necessarily HGVC) have taken 6 to 12 months for folks here on TUG, due to errors in recording, people leaving the job from the closing company, etc.

HA! Well that's what I get for replying via my phone. It took Early May to Early August...which to me...seemed liked forever. But probably not...considering the horror stories I've read about.

I called about every week and checked on my status and then called Hilton's owner transfer desk to check up on my closing company to make sure all the paperwork was processing.

Bought thru Judi K last month and ROFR response (it was waived) came 6 days after it was submitted to HGVC.

We actually just cleared ROFR today -- submitted on August 12th. We bought 4,800 points at Sea World for $2,900.

We bought it on eBay and very happy with the transaction.

That's a quick turnaround!!

Best to all,

Greg

My ROFR finally came back late last week...it took about 3 weeks, and I'm buying through Judi. She has been fantastic to work with.
