It depends on where you want to go - the RCI exchange fee is higher too.

What are your top 3 exchanges that you'd like to make?

*Also - be aware that you can't deposit the same week with two exchange companies at the same time.

There's no free lunch, the cost of your II membership is imbedded in your maintenance fees

We have interval exchange at no cost is RCI worth $99 annual fee?

There are very few points based TS that trade in both RCI and II. Most are in one or the other even if deeded weeks based units at the same resort can exchange through both or a different one than the points based one.

WorldMark and Bluegreen can exchange through either. DRI points go through II only although there are some DRI weeks that are RCI only, some that are II only and some that are both. Most Wyndham points go through RCI though there are a few owners or points at specific resorts that are grandfathered into II. They now have the option to switch to RCI but if they switch they lose their ability to use II ever again. Shell was with RCI but now is with II. DVC was RCI, then II, and now is back to RCI only. Starwood members of SVN points are II only although there are some older weeks based owners that can trade in either and there are some that converted to RCI points and as long as they are in RCI points can use RCI only.

I am really not familiar enough with Welk except it seems that all points members go through II (I think), and just because you see your resort in the RCI directory doesn't mean you are eligible to exchange through RCI. It may only be certain grandfathered members.
