I have an adult daughter about to get married on a deed. What do I need to do, if anything, to update the records so she continues to not need a guest certificate? Obviously I'm hoping not to have to modify/record a new deed and pay another $299 RTF.

That's a good question, and best answered by Wyndham Title Services.

Here is something that I did that has helped in all kinds of situations - suggest to your daughter that she change her name to:

First-Name Maiden-Name Married-Name

In other words, on her driver's license, etc., her maiden name will be listed as her middle name.

Then in all situations in the future, she will have an ID with both her married and maiden name on it. She can do this on the marriage license for no additional fee.

I recently did the same thing. It required a copy of her new driver's license and a copy of her marriage license. I had to send it to title services with a cover letter. I also faxed it to them. Six months later no one had done anything. So I started faxing a new "why isn't anyone answering me?" cover letter 3 times a day. After a week I got a call from Sandra Weaver in title services. She had me scan and email the documents to her and it was done in 6 hours. I can provide her email address if you pm me. Hope that helps.
Wes.
