Hello, we were wondering if we borrow our 2017 HGVC points for a reservation in 2016, do we have to pay the maintenance fee? Thank You Mike

Hello

Yes you can borrow one year ahead. As of a few months ago, the policy changed and you do not have to prepaid the maintenance fee to borrow points for a reservation.

You will enjoy it. We bought points in Vegas (Flamingo) to use primarily at Bay Club. We went twice last year and are going (at least) in early March. THe Bay Club pool and pool bar are very nice :)

Cheers.

For units in Waikola area, I like Bay Club first mainly for the size and if I am getting a 2 BR unit. All 2 BRs have golf course views. 1 BRs I likely would go to one of the other resorts.

For outside area and pools and HWV access, I like Kings Land. However the last time I was at Kings Land we only went to HWV pools once. We are usually out scuba diving or doing other things. Not really an issue. I don't go to Hawaii to sit by the pool myself.

Kohola Suites is my least favorite. I have looked at the rooms, but prefer the other resorts.

We purchased a resale in 1998 and have loved the Bay Club. When it became a Hilton Affiliate we joined at a very low rate. We watched Hilton build next door and later Kings Land. We have stayed at all but prefer Bay Club, which was originally built as high end condos.
