Hi Tuggers

I was just wondering why the HGVC resorts in Italy and Portugal is not on RCI?

I'm an owner at Vilamoura and if I decide to deposit or use my points in RCI, my week should in theory go into RCI as other weeks from other resort do. Since the resorts is not in RCI the weeks dont.

Can anyone elaborate please.

regards

I think the agreement between the two companies allows HGVC to decide what to deposit, not what the member gives up when using their points in RCI. HGVC seems to dump excess inventory rather than 1 for 1.

Hmm you might be right, I wonder if that's the same deal they have with the rest of the non 100% true hgvc resorts.

Regards.

If you watch the sightings forum you can see the bulk deposits and which ones they dump into RCI around April every year. There are some affiliates like Bay Club, but rarely see the ones with small number of units.
