It is nice to know that there are still other Wyndham/II traders. When we started trading with II and wanted one bedroom units I made a couple of one bedroom green deposits that worked well. Then I started reading advice on Tug and the Wyndham Owners Forum about Wyndham/II trading. I learned about the power in II of 28K (now 35K) studio deposits. Since then we have done numerous exchanges, many into two-bedroom units, with those studio deposits alone. One caveat - we mostly trade into off- and shoulder-season units. However, we have gotten some good exchanges for Thanksgiving and New Years weeks. If you really want a high demand location/time then you might want something larger than a studio deposit. However, my experience is that II does not give any weight to a larger points deposit based on "color" of the deposit.when I deposit my points in II when do the deposit expire. I alway deposit a two bedroom green or should I deposit a smaller one bedroom? any recommendations? Thanks Daniel Northover
If you aren't using Flexchange, then you'd probably want to continue depositing two-bedrooms to get the best chance of matching a search request.
I have some fixed weeks and a separate RCI account so I wanted a II account tied to my Wyndham points. I like the TPI system better than RCI Wyndham points system. So green studios are good traders too?
Thanks

This does not fit my experience with II. Maybe for best chance of matching submit the largest unit you can but in many cases you might be wasting points. Here is our current II history for one year:
Villa Roma, Callicoon, NY, check-in 6/21/15 two 2brs
one unit was a Getaway, the other a studio exchange
Villa Roma again, check-in 9/20/15, 2br
accomodation certificate
SVC Legacy Club, Phoenix, AZ, 10/10/15, 2br
AC
Marriotts Manor Club, Williamsburg, VA New Yeasr Week, 2br
studio exchange
Marriotts Surfwatch, Hilton Head, SC, 3/5/2016, 2br
studio exchange
Welk Resort San Diego, 4/16/16, 2br
AC
None of these were obtained during 60 days of check-in although the one for Surfwatch just came through this morning is only a bit over 60 days out.
I recommend that northovr check any threads or stickies that are available here or on Wyndham Owners Forum. Then start gaining some experience by making a studio deposit, submitting an ongoing request and doing some instant searches. With a studio deposit you can submit ongoing searches for two-bedroom unit by searching at resorts that have only two-bedroom and larger units. With instant searches you will find all size units currently available to studio deposits.
By the way, the ACs we have used have resulted from IIs attempt to keep Wyndham/II traders in II when Wyndham was trying to switch us to RCI. I believe that were promised for three years, one AC, with every exchange. If you are not getting those you might inquire II about them.
We have only 105K odd year and 128K even year Wyndham points but stretch them a lot with the studio deposits and now with the ACs.
yes I have an II account thru wyndham I orginally brought some resale Gov green points just for that purpose about 6 years ago.

I could only see Atlantis with the two bedroom.
Interesting. I try to keep one studio ongoing request active all the time. When I am not using it to search for something I both want and believe I might be able to get, I keep it active by letting it search for Atlantis and a couple of Caribbean Marriotts during the winter. After several years of this, the search has never resulted in a Caribbean exchange. Are you saying that I would need to search with a two bedroom deposit even for a studio at Atlantis?
FLDVCFamily,
It isn't an option for you.
You can only deposit wyndham points in II if you had specific II eligible units as your first Wyndham points. You would have had to have had a II account established with your Wyndham account (they pay for the II account not an RCI account) and I think anyone who bought after around 2011 only had the option of RCI even with the specific 5 or 6 wyndham resorts. You also had to request in writing that your included exchange account stay II or they would automatically switch you to RCI and in many cases even if you provided written request to remain with II they still tried to switch you.
So unless you already have such an account set up, you can't exchange through II with Wyndham points.
If you have an II account and have ever seen some Wyndham units, that;s how they get there.
I did see playing around with searching between one and two bedrooms that two bedrooms do pull larger units more often so I am going to continue to bank two bedroom green units.
