There was a post a while back regarding a reservation for a day that disappeared.

Well yesterday my wife called to make dinner ressies in Atlantis over New Years ( I called at 5 am for this ressie last December). Guess what, no one could find the reservation for the stay at Harborside.

We called Starwood and it was cancelled--OUCHHH. Not by us.:bawl:

Now we called back and today everything was restored to normal, but what if we did not find out until we arrived? You can bet we will now always check prior to arrival. Note the customer service rep said had that happened they would have found us a room, but over New Years ? A happy ending but a lot of stress in the house yesterday

I've received an email confirmation when I make a reservation, but I never received anything the one time i canceled a reservation.

That to me is the scary part, we had the confirmation, an e-mail confirmation. I always ask for one. The explanation is that it "happens". In fact I had talked with them the week before around another trip and asked them to double check the Harborside ressie and we were good to go.

On the bright side we now have our resaurant reservations and are counting down the days:p

Had the same thing happen. We own week 52 in addition to week 1 and this year and last they include Christmas so I changed the reservation to week 53 and since it was not my regular week I called to see the start date as I had an e mail reservation only==they said I cancelled it which I didn't! They then said it was available and gave me a reservation # but said they couldn't send a confirmation until it went to another department. So I second the fact that you should call before you confirm air reservations.
