We arrive after 8pm and cruise out the next day. What are your thoughts o the Crowne Plaza? http://www.crowneplaza.com/hotels/u...p=true&sitrackingid=226239882&siclientid=1863

We'll be cabbing to the Wine Outlet and then to the ship so we don't need to use their fee charged shuttle.

Other options include the Embassy on SE 17th as well but its quite pricey.

Thanks all
Diane

We will be staying at The Marriott Courtyard Airport and Cruise the day prior to our cruise in January 2013. We have stayed at The Hilton adjacent to the cruise terminal prior to a previous cruise. I was thinking abou staying at The Embassy Suites this time but I had been awarded a free night courtesy of my Marriott Rewards account. So, I decided to use the night before it expires.

Do you participate in any hotel guest reward programs?

Try the Ft. Lauderdale Marriott North.

We don't cruise but stay here now and then and I remember seeing bus loads of guest go to the cruise ships.

The Embassy Suites is good. There is also a Renaissance by Marriott that is at the intersection of 17th and the street that goes to the cruise port. We stayed there last year. Obviously it's very convenient. Hyatt Place is also a nice hotel nearby and offers breakfast.

You could consider Priceline, but be sure to research the hotel zones at biddingfortravel.com and better bidding.com. There would also be good information on the cruisecritic.com forms.

Diane, for a bit lower priced hotel, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express,1500SE 17th St. Causeway, were pleased with the accommodation and breakfast is included.

Cambria Suites in Dania Beach has free shuttle to/from airport & cruise terminal and is about a mile down from the casino. Very nice hotel and reasonable priced. We used it last Dec. for the shuttle and the parking package. Only drawback is that there aren't great dining choices within walking distance if you don't have a car.
