Has anyone heard of Timeshare Clearinghouse? I contacted my timeshare resort to see if they have a deed back program. They responded that they are not taking properties back at this time but suggested we contact Timeshare Clearinghouse. They advised that they to not charge an upfront fee. Any feedback would be appreciated.:)

I do currently have them listed in the marketplace but at the same time I'm looking into other avenues.

Hi Doris - I am not referring you to the Marketplace - I'm referring you to the Bargain Deals Forum where you can give your timeshare away for free.

Unfortunately, most timeshares have no resale value, so it is impossible to actually "sell" most timeshares, unless you own a prime week in one of the top resort systems, like Marriott, Westin, Hilton, Hyatt, Disney, etc.

There are no "rescue" companies that will sell your timeshare for free - they ALL charge a fee, so you might as well give it away yourself and save some money.

Hi Doris,

you would want to make the fact that you have already paid the 2016mf, and that 2016 usage is free for the buyer a key selling point.

one might also want to contact some closing companies to get a quote on what the overall closing costs would be for your resort, and consider covering that as well as a seller thus making it truly free for someone to just take over ownership from you.

Here is a thread from last year about this company

Looks like they charge an upfront fee. AND they try to get you to take on another worthless timeshare.

Try giving it away. What doesn't have value to you might have value to someone else. Example, I'm currently in the process of acquiring a TS that no longer has value to its current owners and won't be suitable for someone who wants to trade regularly but for my family it's a great fit.
