My daughter and son-in-law recently attended a sales presentation at La Belle Maison and were told that when they inherit my VIP Gold account contracts, that they would not get the perks. I was told that they would as long as only one child inherited all the contracts. My wife and I own the contracts jointly so I guess we both have to die before any inheriting occurs. I keep reading in various threads references to LLC's and Trusts. What's the deal? Any advantages to LLC's or Trusts?? Any extra trouble or expense?

If you know she really wants it, you can put her name on one of the contracts now and she can share in the perks now too.

Stay away from commissioned sales weasels for advice. Just take freebies and run. See page 331 of Directory for transfer of VIP benefits.

Generally LLCs and Trust are set up for different purposes,. LLC limits liability and Trust used for estate planning although there can be overlap.

Both will cost money.

Suggest you discuss what legal documents you have in place now with an attorney to see what happens upon demise and ask his recommendations for your specific situation.
