Hi! I'm an RCI points member and am confused as to how to utilize "exchanges" with II and others.

If you have RCI points you can only use RCI (not II even if your resort is affiliated with both). If you want to do a direct exchange with an individual or use an independent exchange company you need to book your home week more than 12 months in advance (so it won't auto convert to RCI points). YOu may need to pay your MF's at that time. Once your home week is reserved you can rent it, do a direct exchange with someone else or deposit it with an independent exchange company like DAE or SFX.

II is a completely separate exchange company, so you can only use RCI points, with RCI.

Your resort has to be affiliated with II or RCI to use that company. Since you are already committed to RCI, that isn't an option.

My resort is affiliated with both RCI and II

You can't use the RCI points in II.

See post #2 for other options.

***If you tell us when and where you are trying to go (what resort/date you want to exchange for in II) we may be able to offer a strategy.
