Really what I meant is how difficult is it to book Christmas week there for a non lockoff 2 bedroom. And is the Pallet to building a better one?

Ok what I'm really asking is: there is an add here for$1 and it says:

Weeks 10-14, 43-52
Was intended to use for spring break, thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Have already deposited Christmas week so new owner can have that.
Floating gold week
Palmetto building
MF$762

2 bed 2bath not a kickoff
Buyer pays $150

I want that week for renting purposes.

Is it hard to come by?

Palmetto units are a little larger. This is helpful if you are going to have 6-8 in the unit but if you are going to have 2-5 people in the 2 br, you probably won't notice. They only weeks that rent for a premium at SBP are summer months when school is out. During other times even the cool/cold weather holiday times you may be able to rent to recover MF's but you aren't going to make money. There is just too much supply vs demand outside of summer in Myrtle Beach. In terms of exchanging Palmetto only trades in II, not in RCI. The independent exchange companies would also take the week. In II you will have starwood preference and 2 br but gold (vs gold plus or platinum) may not be the strongest trader especially outside of the starwood system. In II you don't deposit a specific week. You get the average of all the weeks in your float season. So the Christmas week may be reserved but it isn't deposited.

Ahhh, very helpful. I bought a book on buying, trading, renting. So interesting how it works. Thank you very much!
