Angela, I am very interested in Peak 8 - the new one. You had an ad for that one earlier. This is not that one, is it? Please PM me - we may be interested in Grand Timber, but really would like Peak 8. Thank you.

I tried for the one on Peak 8 listed earlier, but it was taken back by the resort ROFR. This is a different week.

Oh, too bad you did not get that one.

Do you know the difference between Grand Timber, Grand Lodge Peak 7 and Colorado Lodge Peak 8?

Thanks

We just stayed at Grand Timber Lodge last week (mud season). Peak 7 is sold out, but we did a tour there for Grand Colorado on Peak 8, which is currently being built. The unit they showed us was very nice, definitely an upgrade from Grand Timber Lodge. 2BR lock-off, granite, etc. Very well done. And right on the ski slope. GC on Peak 8 is right next door.

I would take either Peak 7 or 8 over Grand Timber Lodge. GTL was OK, but it is more dated. One nice thing about GTL is you can walk to town if you want to. The others require taking a lift down to and back from town, or driving.

Good luck with your search.

I'll add a +1 to Mike's information. We have been to GP7 for the last three years for Spring Break and have it booked again for 2017. You can't beat the location with the ski shop and lift right out your back door. In our case, it enabled the hungry teenagers to come home for a sandwich at lunch and saved us a ton. Really nice spa. When you want to go back and forth to town you just call their shuttle and they come and get you. In our experience it was never more than a 10 minute wait. Be aware that the studios are extremely small. The one bedrooms are really nice.

So is the unit for sale at Grand Timber Lodge or at Grand Lodge at Peak 7?
The header says Grand Timber, but the rest of the ad says Peak 7.
(I've stayed at both and they are both great, but I agree that Grand Lodge at Peak 7 is a cut above....)
