I am looking to find my Wyndham Pagosa Springs timeshare a good new home!
I have owned this timeshare since 2001 and have enjoyed the week and the facility immensely over the years, but circumstances dictate a change. The pertinent details are as follows:
Resort - Wyndham Pagosa Springs - Gold Crown Resort
2 Bedroom A-B Lockout Unit
Deeded Week #1 (first week of January)
Annual Maintenance Fees are ~$800
Maintenance Fees will be paid for 2015 usage (or depositing as you see fit)
This resort is a 20 minute drive form Wolf Springs Ski Resort which is one of Colorado's best kept secrets. It is a smaller resort that gets the most snow of anywhere in the state, but does not draw the huge crowds of the bigger resorts. You can also drive to Purgatory (or whatever they are calling it nowadays) in about 1:15 if you so desire.
As I am sure most folks on this forum are aware, the lockout unit is a great opportunity to expand your vacation possibilities through RCI. With the lockout unit you have a variety of options each year:
1. Use the full unit in January, which breaks into 2 one bedroom adjoined units and sleeps 8. This is a great option for a multi-family vacation or just to give the kids their own space if you like.
2. Use either half of the unit in January (the A side OR the B side, each sleeping 4), and deposit the other half into RCI for a second vacation opportunity at your discretion. Double vacations on one maintenance fee!
3. Deposit the full A-B 8/4 unit into the RCI system for maximum single unit trading power.
4. Deposit each side of the unit into the RCI system as two distinct and separate units, each tradable for it's own vacation opportunity at your discretion. Double vacations on one maintenance fee!
I am paying the maintenance fees for 2015, I would like for the new owner to cover the closing costs and the transfer fee. I am not sure exactly what that will amount to, but I think the transfer fee is $299 and simple closing costs of maybe $200-300? I am open to however the new owner would like to proceed regarding closing, but I have the deed in hand so a simple transfer would be the cheapest I believe.
I also have 3 weeks deposited in the RCI system with deposit trading power of 8, 10 and 11 respectively that I am willing to negotiate over. I can use them or we can talk, either way is fine with me.
Thanks for Looking,
Shawn
