When you re-trade in II is the Marriott preference still in place if the original trade was a Marriott for a non-Marriott? What if the original trade was for another Marriott?

Thanks, Ray

Yes, it appears that way - - at least for ePlus. I had a Marriott deposit that I exchanged for a non-Marriott. I bought ePlus. I used my first retrade for a non-Marriott. When I'm doing manual searches I'm still seeing units that are in the Marriott preference period.

I don't have experience with a straight re-trade NOT using the ePlus.

I am pretty sure the Marriott preference remains. The original deposit used must be a Marriott. It doesn't matter what the exchange is for. If it is Marriott to non-Marriott then the retrade is still Marriott preference. This has been my experience with E-Plus and I would think regular retrades work the same way.

This is a side note but if you want a non-Marriott with a Marriott you get E-Plus for free by making the initial exchange into Marriott and then the first E-Plus exchange into the desired non-Marriott. The cost of exchanging into the non-Marriott without E-plus is $174. The cost of exchanging into Marriott with E-Plus is $173.

Thanks for the info. My exchange is not an ePlus re-trade. At the dime I made the trade, about a year ago, I had not heard of ePlus.
