I have some HGVC points this year that I may not be able to use up before Dec 31st.

If I have 2080 points to use in RCI in the future how would this work. If I put in a request for say Manhatten Club 1 bedroom in 2007costing 3400 points where would they get the point from. They would use the 2080 banked from 2006 first and then take the remaining points from my 2007 points account?

What about if I have 2080 banked to use in RCI from my regular HGVC account and another 2000 banked from a separete Bay Club account. Do all the points go into one pot for RCI banking purpose?

Can I access RCI points resorts for less than 1 week stays with these RCI banked points?

I this question to complicated? If knowone can answer this here on TUG I will break down and call a Club rep to answer these questions next week.

Thanks:)

Yes - but only if you can get your reservation BEFORE 2006 ends. Once the year ends if the reservation hasn't been made, you will lose the points.

We did this for a reservation in Bend Oregon for next summer. I used 170 remaining points from 2006, used all of 2007 and a few of 2008 for the one reservation, but it had to be made before Dec. 31 to use the 2006 points - it worked out for us...don't know how that would work for another location.

I can't answer the other half - sorry!

Your 2006 points are safe if you have an ongoing RCI search. Even if the search materializes in after 12/31/2006 the 2006 points will be applied first and the additional necessary points will be drawn from 2007/8.

I have done this more than once. You can confirm it with Club.
