Happy Birthday USMC! I'm retired now, but when I was working my manager (a former Marine) brought in a birthday cake every year on this day. :)

Really? That's so depressing. Something like that should have been saved. I think some of my Jarhead friends went there for the Birthday about 15 years ago.

Really? That's so depressing. Something like that should have been saved. I think some of my Jarhead friends went there for the Birthday about 15 years ago.

I-95 was built WAY before that. The local news channels here were commenting on Philadelphia being named the FIRST World Historical/Cultural Site in US ... with the side note about the founding of the Marines. Of course, back then a tavern in Philadelphia was like a Wawa or a McDonald's ... with a Motel 6 upstairs and stables out back.
