We are thinking of going to Aruba next year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving - Nov.24 (probably will fly Jet Blue from JFK). Does anyone know if the airfare that weekend would be higher than if we waited until the following Saturday - Dec. 1?

Thanksgiving is suppose to be the biggest travel time of the year...I think fares might be higher at that time but it is always cheaper to fly exactly on the day of the holiday would be the one exception. Flying exactly on thanksgiving or christmas, new years usually results in a much less expensive flight. This year we looked at traveling Dec. 24 versus Dec. 25 from London and airfare was over $400 less traveling on christmas day instead of Dec. 24 eve. Good luck!

Aruba airfare
I'm flying to Aruba from the NY area this year. Flying on the holiday is less expensive. Also, flying the week after the holiday is better. I'm flying back on Jan. 4 instead of Jan. 2 and saving $300 per airfare as a result. I would definitely suggest going the week after if you can and want to save a lot of money.
