Can any timeshare closing agent do the paperwork on a sale, Bluegreen referred to PCS who charge $450 plus this that and the other.

Bluegreen being very cagey about the transfer fee saying PCS will tell me when paperwork complete.

Can anyone tell me likely cost?

Bluegreen allows only 2 or 3 different closing companies to do their paperwork. Any other closing company is going to go through PCS or one of the other companies and charge a fee on top.

$450 is the charge now for BG - up from $250!
They also have ROFR which can take 4-6 weeks.

Be patient, it will happen - and yes, PCS will tell you when it is complete.

Such a rip off

I can't think of any other industry where competition is controlled in this way, what gives them the right to dictate who is used when there are perfectly good companies out there charging $250.

Thanks for the heads up of Right of First Refusal, unbelievable.

Apparently Bluegreen doesn't think they are "perfectly good". Their ownership of that property gives them rights to dictate a lot of things.

Keep thinking on those other industries, it will come to you.
