Credit Pool travel dates

I have points in the credit pool and have used them in the past.
My online points screen for my account shows credit pool points
listed for 2017 under "travel from" is 3/1/2016 and "expiration" 2/22/17.
I also have HK for 2016 under expiration of aug.29,2016.

I need to make a reservation for 12/26/15 at the 10 month rule and do not enough 2015 points. Will the online reservation system use the credit pool points listed in 2017 although it shows travel from 3/1/16? Will the online system also pull my credit pool HK expiring 8/29/16 before using the HK expiring 2/22/17.
I know credit pool points have an expiration date but I thought I could use them as soon as they were deposited.

My understanding is that Wyndham will use the points that are expiring first. It is also my understanding you can use the credit pool points as soon as they are deposited in the credit pool.

They will pull earliest-expiration-date first. But, yes, the "travel from" 3/1/16 HK credits can be used for a 12/26/15 check-in. They *can* be used as soon as they are pooled, until three years from that date. From the Points Status page:

This chart displays points available based on a one-year increment with the Travel From and Use Year Expiration dates listed.

Since Pool Credits expire three (3) years from the date they are placed into the Points Credit Pool, this chart may not show the entire span of time during which points are eligible for use.
