Hello to all,

I have read some of the directions on this board on how to exchange vacations but I cant follow the terms. Very confusing. Could someone just give me advice e before I start making phone calls?

I want to exchange my floating 2015 vacation at Harborside, Atlantis for a week in April (2nd through the 9th) at the Lido Beach Resort in Sarasota Florida (II Code “LIR”). Do I call Interval International first to see if there is something available before committing my week at Harborside? Or do I call Starwoods and bank my week first?

Any quick tips and/or things I should be aware of would be helpful… thanks,

Joe

You already have a Interval Acct., as part of your SVN membership - have you activated the online Acct., and do you have the password for it? If so, you can log in and see what is available.

However, chances are that you will have to put in an Ongoing Search for this week, because it's Easter Week, which is one of the highest demand weeks of the year.

Also, April 2-9 is a Thursday to Thursday - does this resort even allow Thurs to Thurs. check-ins?

Since you are requesting a holiday week within 6 mos. of check-in, you will have a lot more luck if you request more than one resort.

Update - there is no availability at Lido Beach Resort for any date.

There is no availability at any resort for Easter week, in Sarasota, FL.

The check-in day at Lido beach resort is Saturdays only.

I didn't see any rentals for Lido Beach Resort on Redweek either.

At this point, your best bet is to put in a broad Ongoing Search (many resorts - not just one) and be more flexible about check-in date (not just Thursday) and also look for a back up rental at a different resort.

Or look at renting your week either directly or with someon like Atlantis family fun and using those $ to rent in FL.
