Am going to Las Vegas for the first time in a couple of months and discounted show tickets are just starting to appear on Gold Star Events for the week I'll be there.

The shows I've looked at seem to be general seating or general seating in an assigned area. Since the tickets can't be picked up until the day of the show I didn't know if I would be OK getting tickets through them or if I should wait until I get there and try the 1/2 price ticket places? I just want a couple typical Vegas shows.

Anybody have any experience with Gold Star? Any other advice?

I've used them locally and may try to do something when we go to Las Vegas next week.

The local tickets were for a theater production of Beauty and the Beast. The tickets were half price and in the last row. While that may sound bad, this theater is small, so last row wasn't all that far from the stage. And they were dead center. My dd and I went and thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Had no problem with the ordering, picked up the tickets at Will Call, no problem there either. I'd use Gold Star events again.

I have not purchased directly from Gold Star, but have attended some of the events that they advertise. Generally, I was not too impressed with the conditions or seating that they offer. In adiditon, some of the shows that I have attended, the Pet show, for example were pretty worthless, even though I bought the 'premium' seats that Gold Star did not offer.

On the other hand, they often offer Mama Mia which is a great show. I don't know what seats they are selling, however.

We got our "Mama Mia" ticket from Gold Star and the seats were good as was the service. Having recently retired as a professional theater box office manager, Gold Star is a great company to work with from the point of view of ticket sales.
