Has anybody has any experience with a site called "Skyauction?" I played golf with a someone at Wyndham Fairfield Bay who got 7 days for $260 off this auction site. Always wary of "too good to be true" sounding websites.

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
When they first started I used SkyAuction a fair amount. The taxes and minimum bids have gone up quite a bit since then. The RCI inventory that they get is similar to the Last Call and Extra Vacation pricing so if you don't have access to RCI it might work for you. Occasionally the prices might be slightly lower especially if you are getting it for a friend or family member because then you can put it directly in there name and don't have to purchase a separate guest certificate.

We used it for a 6 night trip into New York City last February. Got a beautiful new Hilton Garden Inn, right near Times Square, for a great price. Loved it. We also got a really nice room in Baltimore for around $50.00 a night. We like it and use it along with Priceline, AirBnb and others.

Have been using Skyauction for over 10 years.

Have had very good luck.

Yes the prices have gone up some, but still beats exchanges thru II and sometimes getaways. It also gives me access to RCI resorts.

You have to know what you are bidding on and what weeks are available. Read the auctions carefully.

Skyauction allowed us to go to HI two years in a row back in 2006 & 2007.

Have never had a problem with Skyauction.

Used SkyAuction several years ago

SkyAuction is legit, you just need to carefully read the description and be aware of the total price for your purchase. The weeks we reserved were through RCI, even had an RCI confirmation. I think ours was through the 'Ready-Set-Go' auction, not sure if it's still goes by that name. They do run 'sales' so yes you can get a whole week for that price you mentioned. Obviously the best availability is off-season.

The two cautions I would make about SkyAuction are these:
1. Know the taxes+fees that will be tacked onto whatever you bid.
2. Know that you are likely to be put in the least desirable unit/location.

But otherwise, yes, you can get a good deal.

I've used skyauction.com many times.

Just be aware that you might get week's cheaper through RCI Get Aways.

As with any RCI exchange, you'll probably be in the worst rooms on site.
