My husband and I purchased a Time Share on Hilton Head several years ago. We now have 163,500 RCI points. We have used our home resort one time. Does not look like we'll be able to get away in 2010. Is there a way to sell the points we have for use for this year. I know I've seen people sell weeks they are not using for the year but I've not seen points?

There are several posts in the Classifieds that are selling points for eg:

I have a similar situation where i always have a surplus of points as RCI only now allows you to use 1/3 of your annual allocation for points partners. So i am planning to pull my RCI membership if i cannot sell or do something with my extra points - quite frankly i think RCI points are worthless - with all the extras you have to pay and the exaggerated values for the partners - its a hassle and a waste of time.

RCI points

I have bought points in the past from a member... big factor is .. how long to they expire.. they start basically with a 3 year shelf life.. one year where you can borrow and then up to two years to use. Rci lets you transfer them now with no fee (or they did last year)
