I have a blue week at the Villages. I paid $8000 (including closing) to upgrade to a Red week at Ozark Mountain (lodge unit). I have until Wenesday to cancel if everyone thinks I've been "had". We have 2 weeks on our account (my parent's own the other) so we have diamond plus membership already. The other week is red and I only have access to use the blue week. Please help me!! :)

Cancel ASAP. You could probably buy the same thing for a few hundred at most on EBAY.

"UPGRADING" is almost always a bad deal. The value of most TS is very low. (<$1000) so it is almost alway a better deal to sell what you have and buy a TS that is already what you want than to "upgrade"

When you cancelled your upgrade, did you have to sign more documents to keep the week you already had or since you cancelled your week did the contract for them to take your week also get cancelled? It's my understanding that when you upgrade, they are actually buying back your week and you are buying another week from them. So if you cancel the week you buy from them do they cancel the week they bought from you if they can or would you have to pretty much buy it back after they cancel yours with all the paperwork and such?
