Anyone know how to get discounts on Disney Theme Parks? We will be at Wyndham's Bonnet Creek next week and would love to save a buck!

And a buck is about all you will save too. Disney is not very liberal with discounts. Your biggest savings will come in that you will not have to pay for parking at Disney.

Yep, not much of a discount available.

The only notable exceptions I can think of are for kids participating in the YES program, for Florida residents, and for military. Other than that, the biggest savings you'll find is about 1-4%.

If you're going to go, the one thing I recommend is to get the most out of it. A 3-4 day trip is one of the worst values, but that's how long many people go. Instead, look at a 2 week trip, with 10 days at the parks. That 10 day ticket is only about $60 more than a 4 day one.

Also, if you can go 2 (or even better, 3 or more) times in a 365 day period (like take a trip again next year, but a week or two earlier), price out Annual Passes.

Many of us who go regularly buy a small DVC contract for discounts on APs. Last year, DVC owners were able to get PAPs for $399, which isn't much more than a 10 day ticket.

My non-Disney attending sister went late last May, 2013; again Nov 2013; and will again, in late April/early May 2014.

Even she saw the value of a AP - it was explaining all the rest of WDW - EMH, taking the bus, Rope Drop, Fast Pass+, parades, park hopping, etc.

Currently, Orbitz has get 2 days free if you buy 3 days with Park Hopper or Water Parks Fun or More. It makes the price exactly the same as Undercover Tourist through the mousesavers link. But you can get an additional 10% off by getting cashback through ebates.com.

As far as I can tell so far, these tickets are vouchers that can't be linked on My Disney Experience, so no advance Fastpass+. But you are staying off-site anyways, so it makes no difference.

Go to http://www.mousesavers.com/ and sign up for their newsletter.

Yes this. You can also try AAA if you are a member. Might be about the same price as undercovertourist (but get to it through the mousesavers.com link. You will get an email from them around the 15th of each month.

No a discount - but we purchase 10 day non expiration tickets (can't do via the website last I checked). But, in Nov we got them at Guest Services.

We head to Orlando a lot and pop into Disney from time to time. So, stretching these tickets locks us into "today's" pricing and we end up using over 2-3 years.

Obviously only works if you plan to go again

I was so mad when my wife got the 7 day no expectation about 8 years ago when the kids were under 6. I thanked her a month ago when we went to Disney and did not need to drop $500 on tickets. We still have 1 trip left. Best part we thought we had use them all and forgot we had 2 more tickets per person.
