Hi! Is there anybody out there who is familiar with Festiva Adventure Club and RTX exchange company? I just consolidated my timeshares consisting of 3 Marriott weeks and a Royal Haciendas week into the Festiva Adventure Club and got into the President level with 12,000 points every other year with additional $25,000 purchase price. This would save me around $4,000 a year in maintenance fees and exchange fees with II. Is this a good move? I need your input while I still have the chance to cancel. Thank you in advance.

Not a good deal?

Hello Virgo22...

I just replied to your private message, before I saw this posting. As I told you, we are satisfied Festiva owners. But I would not consider what you have outlined here to be a good deal (unless there is something I am missing).

Perhaps you could provide more details. For example, are those every-year weeks you are trading out of...or EOY weeks. Why the $25,000 additional cost? that seems high...something like Vida sales folks would ask for in Mexico (run from them if they ever invite you to a sales pitch).

My initial reaction is that you should not go through with this exchange.

I cannot envision any circumstances where giving "Developer" $25K can benefit you.

I would also suggest siting down with paper, pencil and contracts and laying out how you can save some $4K in MF.

While there may be a $100 or even $200 difference in MF between resorts I would strongly suspect you are getting less usage or savings is a mirage.

I am glad you are rescinding. Festiva is far below Marriott in terms of quality.
I would not buy from Festiva. We had a bad experience with them..very aggressive salespeople...even worse than Wyndham and that is saying a lot.
