I just called them and asked since it's a local call for me.

The operator said there was a shuttle to the Strip and it drops folks off at the Excalibur. The last one comes back at 12:30 a.m. It leaves and comes back at several times during the day.

The pool is heated and there aren't many planned activities. She didn't elaborate as to what they might be.

It's one of my favorite timeshares to recommend to people coming here if you don't want to stay right in the middle of the Strip. The Southpoint casino next door has a lot to offer including $3 movies for seniors with a free club card on Monday through Thursday before 6 p.m., several restaurants, bowling alley, and occasional equestrian events.

It's easy to access the I-15 freeway with a nearby exit at Silverado Ranch. It's also easy to get around the area if you have a rental car.

We are owners, and love it.
Have done the vegas strip thing 4 times, but now appreciate renting a car, being away from the strip, and exploring all vegas has to offer.
The southpoint next door is a great location, great service, and isn't a "strip hotel" which gives it some nice uniquness'.

I have found most activities geared towards kids but there are some gaming lessons as well.

They say the pool is heated, but I froze my buns off in August.

That's odd. Usually it's hot enough in August that the outside air and sunshine heat up the water by themselves.

We were also at the HGVC Flamingo pool the day before and it was warm. Maybe they forgot to turn on the heat? Either way, there was a whole group of us and we were all frozen. So frozen that they kids left the pool.

We stayed there in November and the pool was not heated. That was really a drag for two teenagers.

And right near the bingo hall is bowling, a video arcade (can't say what it is like cause I've never been in it) and a big movie multi-plex.

The bingo has electronic machines if you like to use those. And if you get a "Club Card" you get $3. off on bingo.

Also there is a coffee shop with good food including Cantonese Chinese. And the buffet is reasonably priced.

Does the casino next to Grandview have bingo?
