If you had your choice of Lagoon or GW???

Lagoon tower hands down for us. It's closer to the ocean and, IMHO will have better views.

GW looks like it has more modern rooms with better amenities. So if view isn't as important but creature comforts are, then GW might be the better choice.

Without a doubt I too would choose the Lagoon Tower over GW.

We were supposed to be 3 nights in the Lagoon penthouse this summer and got bumped up to the GW penthouse, sure it was really fancy, but every time I walked through the Lagoon lobby to the beach, I just felt I was too far away from the beach at GW.

If I was using point I would book the Lagoon Tower but if it was open season using cash I would give the GW a try. IMO it is not worth the extra points.

What size unit are you looking for? How many will be traveling? Unless you are in a penthouse, the GW units are smaller than the Lagoon units. So if you are traveling with two couples, I think that the 2 br GW unit would be on the tight side, while the two br Lagoon units have plenty of space. Another thing to note, in case it is important to you - the GW units have washer/dryers in the unit, while the Lagoon Tower has a laundry room on every floor.
