I called rather than mess with the website. I was on hold for 9 minutes and the person who answered told me they have to give me the "this is an attempt to collect a debt" spiel even though I wasn't behind. It seems HGVC outsourced MF collections to a collection agency.
Normally we pay early. This year we had a lot of issues with medical bills, new puppies and a hail storm that did enough damage it was worthwhile to make some needed upgrades around the house. Thus, I needed to replace some of the savings before paying those fee's. Next year we'll likely be back to paying a little earlier, before the web site gets overloaded.
I'm just glad I'm not trying to make one of those hard to get reservations that requires you be on the site right at the hour inventory is released.
