Just wondering how this works. I have a reservation in Breckinridge for 3/19-3/26/16. My 2 kids have decided they rather go warm weather. Before I put my reservation into flex exchange to trade is there any way of seeing the inventory? I do have another pending request with II so when I search with the deposit it the inventory I see there the same inventory that is used for flex exchange? Also can you put a request in with flex exchange or do you just check daily?

You can not put in a request for anything that is less than 60 in the future. If you are depositing a week now and will be restricted to flexchange only, you can't exchange out more than 59 days so you can't put in a request.

I think I know what you mean on a flex restricted deposit. I haven't had one to try. But you can put in a request for less than 60 days on other stuff. I think you need just one request for something further out and then you can add other stuff for less. It's easy to put in a dummy for something > 60.

One time I had an OGS on a grid restricted AC and got matched to something off the grid at less than 60 days. The rep said it would never match to anything further out even though the system allowed me to request it.

I think the problem is, that once you are inside 60 days, I don't think you can put dates on the request that are further out than 60 days, can you? I never get in to this situation, so I really don't know how it works.

Probably not but like you I have never had a true flex restricted deposit. I have only had the modified E-trade restriction but it does not work the same.

The OGS option might not even be there on a flex restricted deposit.

The OGS won't be an option because unlike yours that was already in place and then could be adjusted to include something under 60 days, a restricted flexchange deposit won't be able to start an OGS. You can't start a new OGS with a request during flex and a flex restricted deposit can't search be it manual or OG beyond 59 days.
