I received my ROFR on two 5k point units on one deed along with the Estoppel. Here are the points:

Point Balance for Year 2010: 10.000/18240 Restricted Bank Points
Point Balance for Year 2011: 10.000
Point Balance for Year 2012: 10.000

My guess is that the Restricted Bank Points were rescued from last year? What are my options with them? I appreciate the help. Hilton's points system is a bit confusing.

"Rescued Points" from 2009, must be used at a Hilton Developed HGVC (Seaworld, Tuscany, Flamingo, on the Strip, Waikoloa, HHV etc) in 2010 or they will expire.

I'll admit to some confusion here. With an annual allotment of 10,000... how do you get 18,240 (nearly two years worth) of banked points? AFAIK, one cannot rescue more than an annual allotment. Given the hour, I may not be thinking of all the permutations, but my inclination would be to call HGVC and ask.

In any event, rescued points must be used for a stay B4 12/31 of the year after the one from which rescued, IOW by 12/31/2010. Reservations may only be made during the club reservation window -- 276 days B4 check-out.

Thanks. I was questioning that as well. I copied directly off the Estoppel. Once complete, I may just have to call Hilton.

Yes, call HGVC, Talent is right about noticing the extra points and wondering how they got into the "rescue pool".

But if they are all rescued they need to be used this year.

If you can't use them, you can make the reservations and rent them.

I think it is possible to have that many rescued / restricted points:

Before Jan 1 2008, the owner could have "banked" their 2008 points to 2009, giving them up to 20K 2009 points. Then before Dec 31 2009, they could have "rescued" those points and had up to 20K restricted points in 2010.

Yeah, that could have happened, but its not supposed to.
"Previously deposited or rescued points are not eligible" for a rescue. --Member Guide, pg.140.

So on second thought, perhaps the OP should not call HGVC and alert them to the mistake.
IOW, just accept these points as a gift-from-heaven?
