I just recently joined TUG, but I have heard good things about it. I believe I will get unbiased advice.
My wife and I own a week at Chalet High, Basye, VA. I don't think I need to go into the recent history. Long story short, we want to give it away. The fees and special assessment have all been paid. We thought it would be easy to give a TS away. The resort's web site says their policy is not to accept deeds. We contacted an organization that facilitates donations to charity. They would not accept a donation of a Chalet High TS because they considered the owners too hard to deal with. We are NOT considering one of the companies that will take it off our hands for a fee.
We're stumped. Any suggestions?
