[ 2014 ] Diamond Resorts 10,000 points

We are giving away (for $1) 10,000 points of US Collection Diamond Resorts. Our home resort is Flamingo in Saint Maarten. The MF is $1834 (point fee $1410, assessment fee $215, club dues $204). 2014 dues are paid, and 10,000 points are available for use in 2014.
10,000 points will get you a 2 bedroom (usually with lockout) suite that includes kitchens, living room, dining area, 2 king size beds. In St. Maarten, the suites also have washers/dryers on both sides of the suite. If you want a 1 bedroom, you have enough points for 2 weeks in many places.

We will pay the transfer fee of $250, as well as fee to transfer title.

Please note: These points can only be used to stay at resorts within the US collection (see below).You will need to join the Club by buying additional points from DRI in order to be able to exchange with resorts outside of the US Collection. However, you do not need to join the Club (or pay Club dues) to be able to go to any of the following resorts:

As an FYI, these are points, not weeks that the OP is offering. Using points, you can book as few as 2 nights and as many as 60 nights (if you have enough points) at a resort, any time of the year, based on availability and days of the week traveled. You can stay in any size unit that a resort has to offer, again based on availability. These would be known as "dirty points" and that is why they can only be used in the collection they come from (in this case, the US Collection which has some really nice resorts in it). If you wanted to be able to use them to go to the rest of the Diamond collection or use them for other things (airfare, hotels, etc......) you would need to make them "clean", usually by purchasing half the number of clean points from Diamond (in this case 5,000 points) and demanding they make your dirty points clean as part of the deal (giving you and overall 15,000 clean points and Silver status).

Diamond Points in March

Hello, are you still offering the Diamond Points? I usually work with an owner with Diamond Points for my 3 week vacation in St. Maarten in March and was wondering if you still have any points available?

It might be time for me to acquire points myself perhaps 5,-6,000 so I can do my own last minute searches when the Point system cuts in half. I usually stay at a Studio in the Flamingo, Atrium or The Royal Palm. I leave for SXM in two weeks and still need week #11, Mar 14-21 and possibly the following week so kindly let me know if any Points are available.

Also, the Points are taking longer to cut in half, they used to discount less than 30 days ... is this unusual or the new system for 2015?

I do not know that much about DRI but something about this does not make sense.

Either you own at Flamingo in Saint Maarten (and it can be worth 10,000 DRI pts or you own 10,000 pts in the US Collection. I do not think you can do both. At least you can not sell something that is both.

This is an old post, brought out of mothballs by a newbie.

You might want to look at what at what I am offering - 8500 DRI points in the PVC collection. Very similar US resorts, and including St. Maarten. Also lots of international destinations. I'm offering this for free with all closing fees paid. All MF paid for 2015, and I'm willing to negotiate some consideration for 2016, too. You could have 17000 points available for 2015/2016. Check my posting a few below this one. Good two bedroom units available, or vacation twice a year in one bedroom suites.

Just feel the need to correct this. If you own points in the US Collection your "home resort" is every resort in the US Collection, not just the Flamingo. Now you may, as I do, feel the resort where you purchased your initial week before converting it to points is still your home resort but once you become a point owner in the US Collection, Powhatan Plantation (what I consider my home resort even though all of them are) is just as much your home resort as the Flamingo is.

So, are the 10,000 still available? I have friends who may be interested.
