Does anyone know if there is some way to get lunch/dinner reservations with the Disney Princesses in Walt DisneyWorld on short notice? I'm sure there must be cancellations but is there also a waiting list of people trying to get into one of these events. Our son, wife and four children are heading down to Orlando in August. They are not plan two yrs ahead type people......haven't even bought their 3 day passes yet! What web sites are good to check out the cost of park tickets......I have heard of mousesaver.com and undercovertourists.com....

Thanks for any advise.
ps.

We have seen openings come available at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall on the very day we wanted to go, so there are cancellations. That one is probably most likely.

Cinderella's Castle is tough to get but worth it for princess-loving little girls. My granddaughter adored the experience.

My favorite for character greetings is Tusker House in Animal Kingdom because I love Mickey, and our grandson enjoys it too. He doesn't care for princesses at 6 1/2.

they need to buy their tickets ASAP to make fast pass reservations. otherwise, they will be standing in hot lines everyday. I would worry more about this than getting a Princess meal. At this point, they should order from Dinsey and get their voucher number that they can use to make a My Disney Experience account to make FP. For meals, they can check with a WDW hotel concierge or at WDw guest services for "day of" spaces or spaces for the next day, as all restuarants have a 24 or 48 hr canx policy. There is no waiting list. They should also check back in the evening, as many will canx at 6pm for the next day. It is unlikely they will get something, but you never know. They should also be willing to split up with the kids and sit at smaller tables. We had to do that to our party of 8 once (2 tables of 4). There are Princess meet/greet, photos at MK. They should make a FP for one of those. The new Frozen ride it out of FP for that time. They either have to go 1st thing in the AM, late at night, or skip it. I predict a 90 minute wait-time.

Try about 24 hours prior. With the cancellation penalty, you'll often see availability the day prior, especially for Akershus, which isn't prepaid.

Also, just keep checking. I just got a Sept 2 breakfast at CRT. I wasn't planning on doing it, but my 4 year old informed me that she was really looking forward to eating at the castle again, so I had to scramble to find something. I check once or twice per day and was lucky enough to get what I needed.
