A lot of the 1 in 4 might allow concurrent or consecutive bookings. So since yours would be concurrent that might work provided you find a unit for your stay.

Is a unit a available, if so call and confirm if you can get 2 concurrent bookings.

It does apply but only by resort and not an area blackout, but most of the other resorts in that area have less availability than Bay club.

If it is Jan 2015 you are kind of late to the game, you can only hope for a cancellation.

Thanks

guess i'll hope it can be concurrent. would rci allow me to book it and then cancel it or i couldn't book it anyway?

i only want a cancellation anyway because i want it in flex for worldmark points (fits my friends budget :)) and they like to do last minute vacations

we got our unit a long time ago on ogs.

call RCI and ask. I think they would allow concurrent as it does not specifically say you can't. But that is a big IF, for a cancellation to match dates.

Do worldmark points get a discount with RCI on short notice stays? If so then what is the window.

Wyndham doesn't usually get RCI discounts on short notice as a matter of policy, but occasionally there have been point discounts but usually only if there is an excess of inventory.

if its within 45 days for rci (and 60 for interval) we use 4000 points and hskp for exchange no matter what size unit we get vs 8000,9000,10000 points before that for exchange - its a great deal.... flex is awesome :)

Interesting that Wyndham does not do that. Or maybe they do and I am mistaken.

I know straight up RCI will do it on points, and reduce TPUs on weeks for some shorter notice exchanges.

But I thought the fixed week portals (Wyndham, Hilton) don't offer discounts.

wyndham manages worldmark, worldmark is not wyndham even though they like to make it seem to the contrary....

fortunately we have our own rules, resorts and contract :)

I am well aware of the difference between the Wyndham and Worldmark, and their relationships. But given that the same group also owns RCI, I find it interesting that they discount 1 source not the other for late bookings.

But not at the 45 Day mark you have to hope for BC inventory. Good luck with that.
