Last fall, while my daughter and I were trying to find a quick weekend flight back to the Homeland (memphis) to pick up a car my Dad had bought for us I stumbled upon Air trans TAKA CHEEPA PHLITE plan for students. As it was to be a weekend last minute trip, and last minute trips can be quite expensive she saw where she could fly standby, last minute through air trans TAKA CHEEPA PHLITE program for $69 per segment. For me a ticket from North East PA or near abouts was close to $400 or more (last minute) dollars to memphis from any regional airport.

So I was planning on having her taka cheepa phlite and then me take a less expensive flight (for me) from Nashville and do the drive back. Well, as it turned out I just shipped the car and forgot about us signing her up which also entered her into the contest.

Late last week she got a Fed Ex letter saying she had won one of the Grand Prizes-4 free tickets, that she had to prove she was between 18-22 and that she met the rest of the requirements and if so they would give her the credits for tickets! She got the affadavit, and today received a message that the credits should soon be in her account! I am so jealous. I think since I found the contest she signed up for that perhaps she should take me at least one place-Hey, I'll provide the timeshare accomodations. Wish I had more vacation-nothing like a college kids life-three to four months off in the summer, one month at least around Christmas, Spring Break-to be that age again,-to be that age with four free tickets and a mom who just took a new job and can't use all her timeshare weeks for a while. She is like a kid in a candy store looking over the routes.

She really looking forward to planning some trips, as she says- in college the only thing they give me is homework-I'm thrilled to be getting something else.

Now hopefully they will soon show up in her account.

One of my DDs has a freakish ability to win contests. I don't know what it is about her, but she definitely defies the laws of probability. She's never won airline tickets before, though. That is awesome! :cheer: Congratulations to her! And I agree, she should take you with her!
