Which do you think would be better for Easter Weekend rental?

Sat to Sat? (3/26 to 4/2) or
Sun to Sun? (3/27 to 4/3)

In terms of renting something out to someone?

I'm thinking the Sat. to Sat.

thanks!

I think there will be people who will want either, or one or the other for specific reasons. We like Sun-Sun as we can still do Easter Vigil at our home church and then check in Easter Day.

I think there will be more demand for Sat. In general, people prefer to arrive at their destination before a holiday.

People also prefer to travel to and from on a Sat., because arriving home on Sunday, and having to go to work on Monday, is usually less convenienct.

I think that is true for most holidays but church holidays like Easter and Christmas, there is definitely a segment of the population that want to be at home and then leave immediately after if they have the following week off.

I would probably still recommend the Sat-Sat because there will be plenty of renters who will be happy with the conveniences including a day back before going back to work.

If I'm making a reservation that I hope to rent, I almost always go with Sat-Sat if that is available. The exception is when, as is the case this year with July 4th, Saturday is a holiday.

For Easter, I do Sat-Sat ending the day before Easter.

Easter is also tricky in the area, I live in because some schools are always out the Week before plus Easter Monday, others are always out Good Friday through Sunday of the following week and my county with has the week off after Easter when Easter is in March and the week before if Easter anytime after the 3rd of April.

Where we own we like Saturday checkin because it means less traffic to South Lake Tahoe beating all of the Sacramento Traffic from the Bay Area. I know all the back roads etc. We can make it in 3.5 hours vs 5 hours on Sunday afternoons(if we have to go on Sunday we leave our home at 4 AM and can be in Tahoe at 10 AM and on the return stay until 7 PM and get home about 10:30 PM to avoid any major jams especially for busy weekends.

Fridays are hell and Sundays are also bad. When I fly I like to go either midweek or fly on Saturdays and not have to worry about the traffic.

Being in Lake Tahoe during Labor Day gives you the fun of the weekend without having to sit in traffic. This year we are taking our week at the Ridge on the Saturday before Labor Day for a week and with the kids going back to school it works well.

So yes Saturday-Saturday are awesome!!!!!!!!!!
