I had booked a week for my parents using an accommodation certificate I had. They unfortunately cannot go now. Can I post it in the TUG last minute rental section? Thank you!

No you can't post it in last minute rentals but you can post it in the members only Distressed section. Make sure you read the rules before posting.

Actually, the last minute rentals section doesn't forbid renting exchanges. It only cautions against it. I used to think it did as well until it was pointed out to me that it is cautioned but not regulated.

In either case, whether it is last minute or distress, one wouldn't want to openly announce it as a "rental".

IMPORTANT: Major exchange company rules prohibit the rental of time deposited with them or of exchanged weeks, bonus weeks, etc.,obtained through them. Further, exchange companies have been known to take disciplinary action against violators of their rules when discovered via online sources such as this one. We discourage such rental offers on this board, and caution users of this practice.

The real issue is that the exchange company doesn't permit it to be rented, so it's much safer for your to use the PRIVATE Sightings and Distressed Forum. Be sure you read the rules at the top of the forum - they are very specific.
